The constant interruption to supply is not only inconvenient and disappointing; it ‘eats’ into her profits as she has to buy water for her business.

Ingabire’s case of unreliable water supply is not unique, neither has the challenge just emerged. Across the city, thousands of dwellers have for a while been citing water supply challenges.

Among the major challenges that have limited the Water and Sanitation Corporation (WASAC)’s capacity to supply water is ‘losses’ after production before it reaches consumers.
