This year’s edition of Africa’s biggest International Paralympic Committee (IPC) in athletics started on Sunday and will run through to March 27 in Tunisian capital Tunis.
Former world champion in Men's 800m-T46 category, is making his third appearance in the annual event while sprinter Ndayisenga is making his second participation.
Last year, Muvunyi won two gold medals in men’s T46-800m and 400m before finishing fifth in the 1500m on his debut in the category. The 28-year-old clocked 2:01:74 in 800m and 51:25 in 400m respectively.
Ndayisenga will compete in men’s 200m-T47 category on Thursday, Muvunyi races in Men’s 1500m- T46 category the next day before both compete in 400m races on Saturday—Muvunyi in T46 and Ndayisenga in T47.
