Rwanda National Police (RNP) handball club has stretched its unbeaten run in over two seasons with an easy 37-18 win over the new entrants Kibogora Polytechnic on Saturday in Kibogora.

Police, who have dominated the local handball league, found the net 17 times in the first half before adding more 21 goals in the second half to stay top of the table with a maximum nine points. Police’s Gilbert Mutuyimana scored the match-high nine goals.

The Nyamasheke-based Kibogora, who won their first two games against University of Rwanda-College of Education (UR-CE) and UR-College of Arts and Social Sciences, but came short against the two-time reigning champions.

Police, who won all seven local competitions last season, are level with second-placed APR on nine points in three games played so far, but the law enforcers’ side have a superior goal difference of 95.
