APR FC head coach Nizar Khanfir has said confidence will see the army side beat Young Africans (Yanga SC) in the second leg of their CAF Champions League first qualification round today at the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium in Dar es Salaam.

APR go into the second leg looking to win by a two-goal margin to qualify for the second qualification round. Last weekend, Nizar Khanfir’s side lost the first leg in Kigali 2-1.

"We have prepared well and we tried to rectify our mistakes defensively. Our ambitions are to win the game against Yanga. We are confident that we can secure a win,” vowed the Tunisian tactician, who will be taking charge of his second match of the army side.

Khanfir admitted that: "It is going to be tougher than the first leg. What we need to do is to be confident that we can compete with any of the big teams on the continent.”

Yanga SC will need a draw to secure the next round place after Juma Abdul and Thaban Kamusoko scored all important goals. Patrick Sibomana netted for the military side.

The game will be officiated by Seychelles referees Bernard Camille, Eldrick Adelaide and Gerard Pool. The winner will face Egyptian giants Al Ahly and Recreativo do Libolo, who played goalless in first leg in Angola.
