Handball league new entrants Kibogora Polytechnic are seeking to end Police’s winning streak stretching over two seasons when the two sides meet today at Kibogora ground.

The Nyamasheke District-based side has emerged as serious contenders having won their first two league games against the two University of Rwanda teams; College of Education and College of Arts and Social Sciences, which puts them in third position on the table with six points, level with Police and APR.

Speaking to Saturday Sport, Kibogora coach Bernard ‘Dida’ Hategikimana sounded confident ahead of his toughest game, "We are fully committed and ready for our biggest game of the season so far, and I really believe we can shock them.”

Antoine Ntabanganyimana’s Police have been invincible for the past two seasons, having won the title with an unbeaten record and the debutants will have a mountain to climb as they bid to do what all the others have failed in over two seasons.

Meanwhile, matches involving secondary school teams have been postponed to next weekend due the ongoing examination period.
