Editor,
RE: "KCB Rwanda takes financial education campaign to schools”(The New Times, March 16).
It is always interesting to read, every morning, the e-edition of The New Times. Stories are all very carefully selected and highlight Government policies, private sector initiatives and also focus on outstanding achievements by ordinary Rwandan citizens.
This gives your newspaper a very balanced standing and makes very interesting read each morning.
Kudos to AIESEC, the largest worldwide youth organization, and KCB Rwanda, for a great financial inclusion initiative that saw them educate 20 students from SOS Technical School in financial literacy during the 2016 Global Money Week.
It is a common saying that "money is the root of all evil”, but at the same time money is required, whether one is in business, employment or even just a homemaker.
Indeed, as mentioned in the article, "saving is the foundation of investing and provides a cycle for economic growth”.
By taking a financial education campaign to schools, KCB Rwanda and AIESEC, together with Child and Youth Finance International (CYFI), have provided useful guidelines to the students selected for this programme.
Wishing this initiative every success.
