RE: "Travel across Africa must be made easier for Africans” (The New Times, March 17). I like the way the writer put it. I wonder why many African countries are reluctant to ease travel across borders for fellow Africans.

I support the idea of having an African passport so we can break all the chains.

Security concerns notwithstanding, we need ease people’s travel across borders and be in position to issue visas not later than three days. We really should get rid of bureaucracy for it frustrates people and they may end up going elsewhere.

After all, the earth is a common good that we all must enjoy. We must break every chain.
