Local gospel group, The Blessed Sisters, has released another video dubbed Our Father. Its audio track was produced by Master P while the video was produced by Future Records.
According to group member, Dorcus Ashimwe, the English version of the song carries an important message to all the people who believe in the Bible.
"The song itself is a translation of a prayer in the Bible, it’s the story of Jesus when he was teaching his disciples to always remember to pray; the message and the moral lesson behind the song is that we should always be close to the Almighty Lord in any situation we may face, regardless of whether we fall sick, are happy or not happy,” says Ashimwe.
The video featured only two people; Ashimwe says another member, Peace Benedata, was not in the country for personal reasons.
The group comprises of three sisters Peace Benedata, 27, Rebecca Barinda, 26, and Dorcus Ashimwe, 25.
With powerful vocals and performances, the group has touched audiences from secular music to gospel only fans. So far, they have released one album dubbed Giri Intego.
The group is popularly known for songs like Arahamagara, Mu Buzima, Luka, and Gir’intego, among others.
