After both teams made a winning start to the season last weekend, APR and Ecole Secondaire Kigoma lock horns in the national handball league today at Kigoma ground.

Anaclet Bagirishyishya’s APR defeated Rubavu-based College Inyeramihigo 42-31, while Sylvestre Mudaharishema’s Kigoma overcame Nyakabanda 36-28.

ES Kigoma, who finished third last season, behind Police and second APR, will also be seeking revenge for the 21-18 loss to APR in last year’s Heroes’ Day tournament.

Defending champions Police, who started with a comfortable 59-19 over Rambura, face Ecole Secondaire Urumuri at Birambo ground, newcomers Kibogora Polytechnic, who stunned UR College of Education (CE) 39-32, will be seeking to make it two wins out of two when they take on UR College of Arts and Social sciences (CASS) at Huye campus ground.
