Forward Muhadjiri Hakizimana continued his top form as his double helped Police FC return to winning ways in Saturday’s 2-1 victory over Marines FC at Kigali Pele Stadium.
Vincent Mashami’s side dominated the proceedings from kickoff with their front line of Bienvenue Mugenzi and Didier Mugisha looking very sharp in the visitors’ backline.
The incessant pressure from Vincent Mashami's men paid off in the 17th minute as Hakizimana fired them ahead with a sweet finish.

The law enforcers’ celebrations were, however, short-lived as Marines FC quickly organized themselves and took control of the game until they levelled the scores in the 26th minute through Fabio Ndikumana.
After recess, both teams pushed for a winning goal and it was Hakizimana who again fired Police FC ahead with a fantastic effort in the 55th to make it 2-1.
Mashami brought on Djibrine Akuki Aboubakar and Moro Sumaila as he looked to add more spark in attack but Marines back four were resolute as the game ended with a win in favor of Police who are now level with APR at the top of the table standings with 25 points.
