Yanga jet in for CAF tie against APR

Tanzanian football giants, Young Africans, arrived in Kigali this morning ahead of their first round CAF Champions League encounter with APR FC on Saturday.

Tanzanian football giants, Young Africans, arrived in Kigali this morning ahead of their first round CAF Champions League encounter with  APR FC on Saturday.

After arriving at Kigali International Airport, the team, that also features national football team captain, Haruna Niyonzima and former APR defender Mbuyu Twite, was checked into The Mirror Hotel in Remera where they will be staying.

Young Africans will Thursday evening train at the FERWAFA artificial turf but tomorrow, they will train at Amahoro National Stadium the venue ofSaturday’s game, according to organisers.

The game kicks off at 3:30pm.

To get to this stage, Young Africans comfortably knocked out Cercle de Joachim of Mauritius 3-0 on aggregate while APR eliminated Swaziland champions, Mbabane Swallows, 4-1 on aggregate.

The return leg will be played next weekend at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam and the winner will face Egyptian giants Al Ahly in the second round.
