Swamps are supposed to be protected if we are to keep a productive environment. People have been encroaching swamps for farming despite warnings from authorities.

It is wrong to drain swamps, but ignorance has led some people to destroy them amidst public cry. Let the local authorities take time to sensitize local farmers to understand the importance of maintaining swamps.
