It’s been two months since former gospel artiste, Patrick Nyamitari, released Impundu i Rwanda, a song that didn’t get much air play.

However, the hitch didn’t stop the Tusker Project Fame 6 participant from doing his thing. The artiste has released another song, Kalema, ahead of a series of activities he plans to complete this year.

"This is a love story, it’s a dream I had. It’s basically about the girl in that dream. I was inspired,” he said.

Nyamitari has been labeled one of Rwanda’s best artistes following hit singles like Ur’Imana, Niwe Messiya, Nyirakidederi and Umulisa, among others.

Expectations are sky-high for Nyamitari’s new single. Arguably the break-out star of 2007, the 25-year-old’s last album delivered a number of massive hits.

Although he is yet to release a video this year, the singer assures his fans that 2016 is his year.

"I’ve got a number of projects, I’m currently working on; I didn’t want to rush to release one video and then stop there. What I’m putting forward now is a number of songs and videos. I’m also getting ready to launch an album,” Nyamitari said.
