Mukura Victory Sports head coach, Godfroid Okoko, has challenged his players to finish the first half of the 2015/16 National football league by taking all three points off Bugesera when the two sides clash today in Nyamata.
The Huye-based side is 4 points above second placed AS Kigali which has a game in hand. Rayon Sport is 3rd but has two games in hand while Champions APR are fourth but have played 3 games fewer.
"We need to be careful because Busegera is not an easy team to play against. We have to win this game because we want to stay on top of the table. I have urged my players not to lose focus and be mentally strong if we are to get all points,” Okoko said.
Mukura, which is the oldest club in the country, having been formed in 1930s has never won the league title.
However they have been in good form this season after winning 10 of the 14 matches they have played so far but they face an ambitious Bugesera side which wants to finish in the top six positions.
Elsewhere, in Rusizi, Espoir Fc will host Sunrise Fc while SC Kiyovu will be looking for their first win against Gicumbi at Mumena grounds after three consecutive defeats.
Meanwhile, on Monday Amagaju Fc defeated hosts Rwamagana City Fc 2-0. Skipper Adolphe Hakundukize scored both goals.
