Sammy Mulinge, the APR volleyball club coach will be hoping to make a winning start when his team hosts Lycée de Nyanza today at Amahoro indoor stadium.
APR’s first match against Umubano Blue Tigers (UBT) as well as Kireve vs Rayon Sports last weekend were postponed after match officials failed to appear at the venue in time.
"We prepared well for the league start unfortunately we couldn’t play last weekend, which means our season start on Sunday. We need to win the game against Lycée which will bring confidence into my young team,” the Kenyan coach said on Friday.
In other matches, Rayon Sports will play against newcomers IPRC-South at Kimisagara gymnasium, the defending champions INATEK host UBT in Ngoma while Kigali Volleyball Club host Kirehe at Club Rafiki in Nyamirambo.
