Abdul Mbarushimana has been relieved of his duties as Rayon Sports Football Club team manager.
His sacking comes just a week after the club released five players, including striker Bodo Ndikumana.
Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, Rayon Sports head coach Yvan Jacky Minnaert, confirmed the development, "We have parted ways with team manager and he is no longer part of the team.”
Minnaert also said that five players including Bodo Ndikumana, Moses Kanamugire, Kevin Ishimwe, Jeam-Marie Vianney Rukundo and Bernard Uwayezu have also been released by the club.
Mbarushimana was once an interim coach of Rayon Sports when the club returned to Nyanza District in 2012, and he led them to a 2-1 victory against Amagaju FC.
However, in May 2012, he quit his job as the assistant to join Rwamagana City where he stayed briefly before returning to Rayon.
