Rwanda Football Federation (FERWAFA) Executive Committee member in charge of women football commission, Felicite Rwemalika, is among a list of high-profile speakers confirmed for the second edition of the FIFA Women’s Football and Leadership Conference.
The event is scheduled to take place at the FIFA headquarters in Zurich on March 7.
According to the statement from FERWAFA, the conference themed "Equality Through Reform”, will bring together diverse voices from sports and the wider society.
Discussions will focus on "ways in which women’s football and women in football can be further promoted – particularly in light of recent reform proposals.”
The statement adds that, the conference "which coincides with the annual celebration of international Women’s Day…is part of FIFA’s commitment to promote, develop and invest in women’s football so that the sport and those who play it can grow to their full potential across the world.”
Rwemalika will be part of a panel of speakers who will discuss "Taking women’s football to the next level”.
Other speakers will include; Nigeria and Liverpool Ladies FC forward, Asisat Oshoala, former tennis pro Billie Jean King, Amanda Davies (CNN Sports Anchor/Correspondent), Abby Wambach (USA national team player), among others.
