Last year, APR finished in third position with 41 points while Kirehe finished in fourth position with 28 points behind INATEK and Rayon Sports.

"We have a young team. We need to work hard for the upcoming league matches and we want to be in second position this season. We have to improve from last year’s position,” Mulinge said.

Last season APR finished in third position behind the champions INATEK and Rayon Sports. The Ngoma-based team was too strong for their rivals after winning the title with 66 points, followed by Rayon Sports with 64 points.
