Bugesera FC will be hoping to end the winning streak of league leaders AS Kigali, when the two teams face off today in Nyamata after 11 rounds of matches this season.

But AS Kigali coach, Eric Nshimiyimana is optimistic that his team will continue with the winning spirit to maintain the unbeaten run in the national league.

"Our aim is to win every game, it’s not easy, but we have to believe that we can go the whole season unbeaten.

We are facing tricky teams in upcoming fixtures, but we have set our target to win all our games,” Nshimiyimana said on Monday.

The City of Kigali-sponsored AS Kigali edged Marine FC 1-0 on Friday at the Kigali Regional Stadium to maintain their unbeaten record and top spot in the league table standing.

The game’s lone goal was scored by CHAN 2016 second top scorer Ernest Sugira , just six minutes into the first half to take Eric Nshimiyimana’s team to 24 points, three ahead of second-placed Rayon Sports after 10 rounds of matches.

However, the 24-year-old forward, hobbled off the field with what appeared to be a hamstring injury, which is likely to rule him out of Tuesday’s clash

Third-placed Mukura Victory Sport with 20 points will be in action on Wednesday when they travel to Musanze to face the home team, who walloped struggling Etincelles 3-0 on Friday.
