Rwandan handball giants APR and Police have confirmed their participation at the forthcoming 2023 East and Central Africa handball federation (ECAHF) senior club championship, scheduled for December 2-9 in Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi.
Police emerged runners-up of the 2023 handball league after losing the title to Gicumbi HC while APR are heading to the week-long regional tournament in positive mood having clinched the Coupe du Rwanda which concluded at Kimisagara court over the weekend.

Police is already in intensive training sessions which are giving club coach Antoine Ntabanganyimana pretty much confidence that his group has potential to challenge for the tournament they won in 2021.
"Preparations are going well and players are showing determination to put up a strong performance in Nairobi. We are returning to the tournament for the third time, in 2021 was the winners of the tournament and the target is to do the same, to win the title,” Ntabanganyimana told Times Sport in an exclusive interview.
Besides APR and Police (Rwanda), Jeshi la Kujenga Taifa from Tanzania, DRC Police and Heritage (DR Congo) and Uganda Prisons are among teams that will take part in the tournament.
