Amavubi captain Jacques Tuyisenge has promised that the players are ready to give their best against DR Congo in first quarter-final of the 2016 African Nations Championships on Saturday at Amahoro National Stadium.

Tuyisenge, who is yet to score in the tournament, said, "We are so happy to be in the quarter-finals but we are still hungry to do more. We thank the fans for the support they have showed us in this tournament.”

"They should turn up in big numbers and get behind the team for the whole match, we promise to give our best performance and try to get a win, which will not be any easy task against a very good DR Congo side,” the 24-year old forward said.

The former Police skipper, who signed for Gor Mahia recently, scored the lone goal against DR Congo in a friendly game just over three weeks ago at Umuganda Stadium in Rubavu District.
