Davite Giancarlo landed his first win in the National championship after winning Saturday’s Rallye de L’est which was held in the Eastern province.

Giancarlo, who was driving his blue Subaru Impreza, beat off tough challenges from Tony Seagerman and Elefter Mitraros who finished in second and third spots.

After garnering 65 points from Rallye de L’est, the second last round on the championship calendar, Giancarlo boosted his chances of winning his first ever National Rally Championship.

Olivier Costa, who was Giancarlo’s top rival going to the race got his title hopes shattered when he pulled out of the race due to mechanical damages.
