Rwanda Premier League side SC Kiyovu have hired Yves Rwasamanzi on a one-year contract as the new club head coach after sacking Innocent Seninga last week.
The development was confirmed by Elie Manirarora, Kiyovu sports club secretary general on Tuesday .
The Nyamirambo-based outfit, currently seventh in league table standings with 14 points from nine league games, parted ways with their former coach last Thursday over mismanagement allegations after just 155 days on the job.
"Rwasamanzi is officially our new coach, he’s an experienced and committed coach, and we are looking forward to working with him. He signed a one year contract subject to renewal,” Manirarora said.
The former Isonga FC technician steps in to handle the club that has not won any title since 2011 when they claimed the preseason tournament trophy.
Yves Rwasamanzi helped Isonga earn promotion to topflight league from second division at the end of the 2013/2014 season, but parted ways with the youthful side towards the start of the 2014/2015 campaign to spend the whole of last season unemployed.
The national football league was put on hold on November 7, 2015 to give Amavubi Stars enough time to prepare for the ongoing African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Rwanda, running from January 16 through February 7 in Huye, Rubavu and Kigali.
