Cameroon scored three against the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) to top Group B in the ongoing Orange African Nations Championship (CHAN).
DRC who went into the fixture as favourites having won all their group games was stunned when Cameroon scored a spectacular goal in the 42nd minute.
At the start of the second half, DRC's Jean Marc Makusi got an equaliser for the Congolese but four minutes later, the Indomitable Lions, scored another goal through Moumi Ngamaleu to maintain their lead.
When Samuel Nlend scored the third goal for Cameroon in the 64th minute, Les Leopards of Congo knew there was no way back.
DRC will now play hosts and Group A leaders Rwanda in the first quarter final of CHAN 2016 while Cameroon have booked themselves a match with Cote d'Ivoire, which emerged second in Group A.
In the other final game of Group B, Angola who were the first team to be eliminated in CHAN 2016 managed to beat Ethiopia 2-1 in a game played at Amahoro National Stadium in Kigali. Ethiopia whose hope of qualifying to the knockout stage depended on DRC beating Cameroon, will also head home.
