The game didn't produce many chances as each side registered just one shot on target. Cameroon, who won their first game against Angola last week, looked happy to take a draw while Ethiopia largely sat back and tried to rely on counterattacks.
The result saw Cameroon accumulate four points, which means Angola, who have lost all their two games so far, effectively become the first team to be eliminated from the 2016 African Nations Championships (CHAN).
Earlier in the day, the Southern Africans lost 4-2 to Group B leaders and one of the tournament favourites DR Congo, while they had lost their opening game 1-0 against Cameron last week.
A win for Cameroon this evening would have seen Ethiopia eliminated from the tournament, but the Horn of African nation ensured it remained in the biennial tournament.
Ethiopia will now have to win their last match against Angola and hope that Cameroon lose to DR Congo to stand any chance of progressing to the quarter-final stage.
