Fans of Rwandan music and fashion will get a chance to kill two birds with one stone when US based singer Ben Mugisha, commonly known as ‘The Ben’, takes to the stage for his Ko Nahindutse album launch at the ‘Miss and Mister Rwanda Belgium 2006’ in Brussels on March 5.
The Ko Nahindutse album consists of songs like I am In Love and I Can See will. It will be ‘The Ben’s second album after the launch after the first-Amahirwe ya mbere.
Justin Karekezi one of the organisers of the event said the album launch was organized alongside the pageant to create a bigger event.
The Miss and Mister Rwanda Belgium pageant which is in its second edition will be competed for by 10 females and 10 men.
Sandrine Uwimbabazi who is in charge of the pageant says that it will among other aims teach the young participants some things about the Rwandan culture, and the two winners will be awarded air tickets to visit Rwanda where they will learn more about their cultural heritage.
"For those who can make it, we always aim to make people happy but this time, it’s going to be exceptional,” Karekezi said.
Belgium is a favourite destination for Rwandan artistes, thanks to the big Rwandan community that is always hungry for live Rwandan music.
