There was low activity on Rwanda Stock Exchange (RSE) on Monday, with only Bank of Kigali and Bralirwa counters transacting business. The bond market was quiet and is yet to register any business this year.
On the main market, Bralirwa recorded the highest turnover of Rwf226,200 from 1,300 shares traded in two deals. The counter closed at Rwf174, unchanged compared to Friday’s trading session, according to the RSE daily market report.
The RSE Share Index and All Share Index remained unchanged to close at 146.89 and 130.61 points, respectively.
The Bank of Kigali counter realised Rwf56,000 in total turnover from 200 shares traded in one deal at Rwf280.
Other counters were quiet, with Equity Bank closing at Rwf334, NMG was at Rwf1,200, KCB Rwf330, while Crystal Telecom and Uchumi, were at Rwf99 and Rwf104, respectively.
There were outstanding offers of 147,300 for Bank of Kigali shares at the end of formal trading hours, ranging from Rwf280-300, but no bids. The Bralirwa counter received offers of 590,000 shares at Rwf174, but investors were willing to buy 52,000 shares at Rwf170. Crystal Telecom had outstanding offers of 1.27 million shares at between Rwf99 and Rwf106, with bidders ready to pay for 1,300 shares at a lower price of Rwf95. KCB had an outstanding offer of 9,700 shares at Rwf340 and no bids.
On the bond market, there were outstanding bids worth Rwf 50.3 million worth of bonds at Rwf 101, but there were no offers.
