Title hopefuls Patriots lock horns with former champions APR in the peak of the national basketball league on game-day 5 this afternoon at the UR- College of Science and Technology (UR-CST, formerly KIST) court.
The military side APR will be up against on-form Patriots looking to end their four-game unbeaten streak.
The last time the two sides met was last November in the pre-season tournament and Henry Mwinuka’s Patriots defeated Cliff Owuor’s youthful side 70-54.
"This is a very important game for us, we will fight for a win and I am confident we have what it takes to achieve our objective. Patriots are a strong side to overcome but we have to be confident,” said APR Kenya trainer Owuor.
Patriots’ Tanzanian technician Mwinuka said,” We are four games unbeaten this season, we want to stretch the run further and we will battle hard for it tomorrow (today) against APR.”
Elsewhere, IPRC-Kigali will be up against debutants, the National U-18 Team at UR- CST courts, UGB against Rusizi while Huye-based rivals UR-CASS and IPRC-South will face-off at UR-Huye campus gymnasium.
