Two Gatsibo-based schools, Kiziguro Secondary School and ADEGI Gituza, which represented Rwanda at the 2022 regional post-primary games (FEASSSA) emerged triumphant against Ugandan schools to clinch the titles in boys and girls categories on Thursday.

ADEGI Gituza boys beat Uganda's Dynamic 26 - 24 in the final, while Kiziguro S.S edged Kawanda SS 19 - 15 in the title match.

Ecole Secondaire de Kigoma, another Rwandan side from Ruhango district, claimed the bronze medal in boys' fray after narrowly overcoming beating Kenya's Hospital Hill 26 - 23.

The regional multi-sport event got underway on September 14, and will run through September 27 in Arusha, Tanzania.

The annual competition brings together secondary schools from East African Community (EAC) partner states.
