Countries to host 2016 CECAFA events named

CECAFA has unveiled its 2016 roadmap with the unveiling of countries which will host key tournaments in the region. Zanzibar will host this year's Kagame Cup while Sudan will host the Senior Challenge Cup tournament. The U-17 and women championship will be hosted by Uganda while Burundi will organise the U-20 tourney, CECAFA Secretary General, Nicholas Musonye has confirmed.

CECAFAhas unveiled its 2016 roadmap with the unveiling of countries which will host key tournaments in the region. Zanzibar will host this year's Kagame Cup while Sudan will host the Senior Challenge Cup tournament.  The U-17 and women championship will be hosted by Uganda while Burundi will organise the U-20 tourney, CECAFA Secretary General, Nicholas Musonye has confirmed.

Musonye also revealed that, the Council for East and Central Africa Football Association will place a lot of emphasis on women and youth competitions this year.

"The  new executive committee headed by Mutasim Gafar will also sign an MoU with Saudi Arabian FA for an exchange programme especially on matters involving youth football," said Musonye.

Apart from the regional tournament for national teams, Zanzibar has been picked to host the Kagame Cup club championships, while Uganda and Burundi will host youth and women tournaments.
