Red Avenue Party

It’s the third edition of the Red Avenue Party. Sandra Teta, the brain behind this event, will be hosting some of East Africa’s most famous celebrities. Tanzanian female recording artist and songwriter, Vanessa Mdee and Big Brother Africa Season 8 (The Chase) participant, Huddah Monroe, are among the many familiar faces that will grace the party.

Rwanda’s music trio Active, DJ Toxxyk and VJ Nano will also be there. It’s all happening today at KCT Food Court. The show will kick off at 9pm, and dress code is strictly red. Entrance fee is Rwf30,000 and Rwf10, 000 for couples and singles, respectively.

"Sinzarambirwa” album pre-launch

RnB artiste Kid Gaju will hold his first pre-launch album at People’s Club, Kacyiru.

The pre-launch show will also feature Uganda’s Cinderella Sanyu, commonly known as Cindy, who was one of the original members of girl group Blu*3. It will also be graced by several local artistes including Jay Polly, Dream Boys, and Bruce Melody, among others.

Entrance fee is Rwf5, 000, and it starts at 8pm.

"Hejuru Mukirere” concert

Do you want to end 2015 in praise and worship? The Ambassadors of Christ Choir will on Saturday, December 26, launch their 12th album DVD, "Hejuru Mu Kirere” at Gikondo Expo Grounds.

The SDA Remera based choir will also feature Patmos, Elevate, and Maranatha men choirs.

Entrance fee is Rwf10,000, Rwf5,000 and Rwf2,000 for VVIP, VIP and ordinary seats respectively.

Night life

Put on your dancing shoes and check out some of Kigali’s hottest nightclubs; K-Club in Nyarutarama, People’s Club in Kacyiru, Le Must in Kiyovu, Deep Club in Remera, and Envy in Kimihurura are sure to give you a thrill.

Don’t also forget to check out Rwanda’s Lil G album launch dubbed "Ese Ujya Unkumbura”, which will take place on December 26, at Kaizen Club.

He will be accompanied by Two 4Real, Ama-G the Black, Senderi International Hit, Young Grace, TBB, Rafiki, and Uncle Austin, among others. Entrance fee is Rwf2,000 and the show starts at 7pm till late.

Movies

This weekend, film lovers are in for a treat with ‘In the Heart of the Sea’ showing at Century Cinema, Kigali City Towers. In brief, the New England whaling ship Essex was assaulted by something no one could believe: a whale of mammoth size and will, with a sense of vengeance. The real-life maritime disaster would inspire Herman Melville’s great novel, Moby-Dick.

It’s on at 4pm, 6:45pm and 9pm through the week.
