Guinean striker Alseny Camara has arrived in Kigali as a move to Rwandan topflight giants Rayon Sports beckons.
Camara, 28, is expected to sign a one-year contract with the Blues but he will have to train with the team for some few days to prove his fitness before he puts pen to paper, a source told Times Sport on Thursday.
Upon, arrival, Camara, who arrived in town in the wee hours of Thursday, said he is looking forward to contributing the Blues’ fortunes as club targets the league and Peace Cup double this season.
"I love the country. I played here during CHAN (2016) and I since loved the country. I hope to help Rayon Sports and I am always committed to doing my best for my team," Camara said.
Nicknamed "Agogo" after late Ghanaian striker Manuel Junior Agogo, Camara joined Senegalese Ligue 1 side Guediawaye FC on August 18, 2022 but had his contract terminated a year later on mutual agreement.

The Guinea international will train with Rayon Sports for a couple of days for the coaches to ascertain his fitness level.
"Because we need a player who is ready to start playing,” the source said.
Rayon sees Camara, who has two goals to his name in his 10 appearances for Guinean senior national, as a possible replacement for Eid Mugadam Abakar Mugadam whose contract could be terminated any time after he failed to impress since he arrived at the club in October.
