Mukura Victory Sports’ Muhajiri Hakizimana has said he’s keen on playing a major part in ending Amavubi’s goal drought.

Hakizimana, the last born in a family that includes famous Amavubi stars such as Haruna Niyonzima and Abdul Sibo, says he’s looking forward for his first international cap.

He’s one of the 32 players who were summoned by Amavubi head coach Johnny McKinstry ahead of the upcoming Africa National Championship (CHAN), due next month.

The 21-year old made an impressive start to the season, scoring six goals, including four free kicks, and providing three assists since September.

"I am looking forward to be included in the national team and I help get ball to the strikers, I believe I can contribute to get the goals for the national team,” said the midfielder.

Amavubi have struggled to score goals in recent years.
