Hip-hop fans and concertgoers were treated to a night of fantastic rhymes at the first edition of the "Electric Jam” at the Mulindi Japan One Love premises in Kimihurura on Thursday.

The evening which attracted a sizeable crowd, was a music entertainment fete, organised by Leo Luedemann, a German volunteer at Rwanda National Commission for UNESCO. It brought together several acts that included compatriot Konrad Voigt, a guitarist, poet and rapper Eric 1 Key and Ugandan rapper Grandpaz.

The performances started at 8P.M and probably the most entertaining act of the night came from Luedemann—thanks to his excellent saxophone skills. However, each performer brought out their best abilities and kept the crowed alive and in action.

Grandpaz invites one of the revellers on the floor to try her hip-hop skills.

The rappers took to the floor at first in a freestyle session, with Leudeman, Eric 1 Key and Grandpaz engaging and challenging the crowd. Soon after, Luedemann and Grandpaz made a joint performance, singing the latter’s songs— 5th of November and Holla Me.

Eric I Key, wowed the crowd with a recitation of poetry verses in Kinyarwanda and in French. Some hip-hop enthusiasts had the opportunity to tryout their vocals in between the performances. The beats were blended by Voigt's electronic guitar. The performances ended before midnight.
