BK records close to Rwf29m turnover

Bank of Kigali and Crystal Telecom were the only active counters at the local exchange, with the lender recording Rwf29 million in total turnover from 103,500 shares traded in two deals, the Rwanda Stock Exchange daily market report for Monday indicates.

Bank of Kigali and Crystal Telecom were the only active counters at the local exchange, with the lender recording Rwf29 million in total turnover from 103,500 shares traded in two deals, the Rwanda Stock Exchange daily market report for Monday indicates.

The financial institution closed at Rwf280, unchanged from the previous session on Friday.

On the other hand, Crystal Telecom registered Rwf166,600 in turnover from 1,700 shares traded in one deal during yesterday’s trading session. It was also constant at Rwf98 compared to Friday closing price.

The Rwanda Share Index and the All Share Index were unchanged yesterday to close at 146.79 and 130.60 points, respectively.

All the other counters, including local beverages firm Bralirwa, were quiet yesterday. Bralirwa last traded at Rwf174, KCB at Rwf330, while Equity Bank, NMG and Uchumi Supermarkets counters last closed at Rwf334, Rwf1,200 and Rwf104, respectively.

At the end of formal trading hours, there were outstanding offers of 75,500 Bank of Kigali shares, ranging from Rwf280-300, but buyers were willing to 4,100 shares at Rwf275. On the Bralirwa counter, there were outstanding offers of 36,400 shares at Rwf174 and an outstanding bid for 3,000 shares at Rwf165.

Crystal Telecom had outstanding offers of 335,600 shares at between Rwf100 and Rwf106 and a bid for 5,000 shares at Rwf90, while KCB received an outstanding offer of 9,700 shares at Rwf340 and no bids.
