After losing 2-0 to Sec Academy FC last weekend, a result that saw them lose top spot in Group B, Etoile de l’est FC face yet another tough test when they host second-placed Interforce in the second division league today at Ngoma Stadium.
Etoile de l’est, who dropped to third place, and Interforce, both have 12 points after five rounds of matches, having lost one game (both against Sec Academy), who on 6th positioned with 7 points.
Interforce FC coach Ildephonse Nkotanyi says his side are determined to turn up the heat on top-placed Kirehe FC by winning today’s game, which, if it happens, will add further misery on Etoile.
"Etoile is a strong team and have proved to be serious title contenders this season however, I have attended some of their games and I believe we can beat them, especially now that they have just lost for the first this campaign,” said Nkotanyi.
