RE: "San Bernardino shooting: Several dead; police seek one to three suspects” (The New Times, December 3).

Day in day out this kind of carnage has become a regular occurrence all across the United States. When will Americans understand that an over-armed society, where buying or getting hold of the most deadly of weapons is easier than passing a driving test in most American states is a sure recipe for repetitive episodes of mass murder?

Honestly, Second Amendment or not, if Americans can't get the simple link between easy access to guns and the almost daily mass shootings of innocents on their streets, then they have a serious death wish.
