After a long and busy week, you probably just want to relieve some of that stress. Are you wondering where to hang out over the weekend? Here are a few suggestions:

Eric Omondi’s ‘Untamed Rwanda’

This Sunday, get ready to laugh and dance as, once again, Kenya’s celebrated comedian, Eric Omondi, brings comedy to Kigali and Wyre the love child performs some of his biggest hits. The venue is Carwash Gardens from 6pm till late, and entrance is only Rwf5, 000.

The Fusion

For students in Huye, this evening will be on fire as Theo Twahirwa, commonly known as Dj Theo, is bringing the best artistes together in a show dubbed ‘The Fusion’. The event will feature Knowles Butera, Riderman, Social Mula, Super Brothers, Edomon and Shinning Boy.

It will take place at University of Rwanda - Huye Campus auditorium from 6pm at only Rwf1000 for ordinary seats and Rwf2000 for VIP.

Agaciro Iwacu Concert

Youth Challenge Entertainment Group (YCEG), in partnership with The 250, an events management company, have organised the ‘Agaciro Iwacu Concert’ with the aim to contribute to Rwanda’s ‘Agaciro Development Fund’. It takes place today at Hilltop Hotel, Remera.

Various Rwandan artistes will perform, including Maria Yohana, Urban Boys, Riderman, Gaby Umutare, and Jules Sentore to mention a few.

Entrance fee is Rwf3000 and Rwf5000 for students and adults, respectively, and Rwf10000 for VIP seats.

Night life

Put on your dancing shoes and check out some of Kigali’s hottest nightclubs; K-Club in Nyarutarama, People’s Club in Kacyiru, Le Must in Kiyovu, Deep Club in Remera, and Envy in Kimihurura are sure to give you a thrill.

For old school lovers, A l’ancinne at The Manor Hotel should not be missed. The aim of the night is to re-animate the soul, resuscitate the funk and bringing the groove back. It happens today at 10pm with Dj Eric Soul, Skipper, Mucyo and guests, at an entrance fee of Rwf4, 000.

Movies

This weekend, the Japanese film festival kicks off at Kwetu Film Institute, Gaculiro.

Film lovers are in for a treat with ‘Bushido Sixteen’ and ‘Hankyu Railway- A 15-Minute Miracle’.

If you haven’t watched it yet, the new James Bond movie, Spectre, is showing this weekend at Century Cinema from 3:45pm to 6:30pm & 9:15pm.
