For the second time, Nyanza District is holding the popular ‘Inyanza Twataramye’ Cultural Festival, a two-day cultural festival starting on Friday that seeks to celebrate and educate Rwandans and visitors alike and to showcase the country’s rich culture and heritage.
For the second time, Nyanza District is holding the popular ‘Inyanza Twataramye’ Cultural Festival, a two-day cultural festival starting on Friday that seeks to celebrate and educate Rwandans and visitors alike and to showcase the country’s rich culture and heritage.
Speaking at a news conference on Wednesday, Abdallah Murenzi, the Mayor of Nyanza District, invited all Rwandans and visitors to be part of the festival.
He said, "We want to share our cultural heritage with fellow Rwandans and foreigners”.
Visitors will be treated to, among others, traditional dances and games as well as the famous Inyambo royal cattle.
Arlette Ruyonza, who is charge of culture at the Ministry of Sports and Culture, said the festival is an opportunity to showcase Rwanda’s history and cultural heritage to investors.
"This is an opportunity to showcase our rich culture to the international audience. We are eager to deal with investors who want to start investing in the culture sector, just like other economic fields,” she said
Mayor Murenzi, also highlighted the business forum due on Friday that is aimed at showcasing business opportunities in Nyanza.
"Nyanza not only has lots of amazing cultural and touristic sights but it is also the right place to invest,” he said.
