Kagame in Uganda for major Summit

President Paul Kagame Tuesday evening flew into Kampala for the first ever Tripartite Summit of regional trading blocs.

President Paul Kagame Tuesday evening flew into Kampala for the first ever Tripartite Summit of regional trading blocs.

The summit brings together leaders of 26 African countries from three regional blocs; The Southern African Development Community (SADC), East African Community (EAC), Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA).

Shortly after his arrival, President Kagame met with Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni, for private consultations, before attending a State Banquet at State House Entebbe held in honour of Heads of State participating in the Summit.

President Kagame is the current chair of the EAC.
