RDF soldier shoots self in Bangui

A Rwandan peacekeeper serving under the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilisation Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA), shot himself dead on Sunday.

In a statement yesterday, the Rwanda Defence Forces (RDF) confirmed the suicide incident.

The deceased was identified as Pte Ngabo Jean Claude.

"The RDF and MINUSCA are investigating the incident to determine the motive. The family and next of kin have been informed as per procedure.’’

‘‘The RDF sends condolences to the family of Pte Ngabo,” according to the  statement signed by Brig Gen  Joseph Nzabamwita, the Defence and Military Spokesperson.
