Over the weekend, on Saturday, a number of young talented models, designers and other fashion lovers converged at Hotel Villa Portofino, Nyarutarama in what is dubbed as ‘Red Carpet Fashion Awards 2015’.
Over the weekend, on Saturday, a number of young talented models, designers and other fashion lovers converged at Hotel Villa Portofino, Nyarutarama in what is dubbed as ‘Red Carpet Fashion Awards 2015’.
The event kicked-off at 5pm with T-Layers performing their contemporary dances, followed by one of the talented dancer-Djibril thrilling the crowd. Right after a few minutes, the runways of different models took the stage.
Speaking to The New Times, Fred Cesar Mwerekande said that the event is what they expected.
"We got no complaints, our show displayed in style. We can definitely say it is what we expected. We started on the right time, and all things went as we organised them. However, we want to do more than what we did so as to develop young people’s talents in the fashion industry,” he noted.
The fashion awards also featured performances from Yvan Buravan who’s well known by his hit songs like Bindimo and Injyana which he features with Gaby Umutare, among others.
The runway took place in two rounds, where the first round saw 10 models from each fashion agency of all the six agencies which displayed. The second round which was also the last saw only 20 finalists showcasing, where the judges chose the best female and male models, best design and best Fashion agency who were crowned at the end of the show.
