MTN Rwanda chief executive Gunter Engling hands over a dummy cheque of Rwf10 million contribution to Finance Minister Amb Claver Gatete yesterday at the Ministry of Finance head offices in Kigali.

The Fund has so far collected Rwf28.6 billion in contributions from Rwandans, corporate firms and well-wishers.

The Fund is part of the country’s efforts to promote self-reliance.

The Fund managers have said they plan to invest some the money in government Treasury bonds and bank deposits.
