BK records Rwf153m in Monday trading

Bank of Kigali counter was the only active counter yesterday at the Rwanda Stock Exchange (RSE) yesterday, selling 550,000 shares in seven deals worth Rwf153 million, according to the daily market report for Monday. The counter closed at Rwf280 unchanged from previous session on Friday.

Bank of Kigali counter was the only active counter yesterday at the Rwanda Stock Exchange (RSE) yesterday, selling 550,000 shares in seven deals worth Rwf153 million, according to the daily market report for Monday. The counter closed at Rwf280 unchanged from previous session on Friday. 

The Crystal Telecom counter was quiet and so was Bralirwa, the other local firm listed on the bourse.  The counters closed at Rwf105 and Rwf218, respectively, unchanged from Friday’s trading session.

Cross-listed counters KCB, Equity bank, Nation Media Group and Uchumi Supermarkets counters were also quiet yesterday.

KCB closed at Rwf330, Equity, Nation Media Group and Uchumi closed at Rwf334, Rwf1,200 and Rwf104, respectively.

At the end of formal trading hours, there were outstanding offers of 429,300 Bank of Kigali shares between Rwf279 and Rwf300 and an outstanding bid of 30,000 shares at Rwf270. On the Bralirwa counter, there were offers of 304,400 shares at Rwf207-240 and no bids.

Crystal Telecom had outstanding offers of 460,000 shares at between Rwf105 and 114 and an outstanding bid for 10,000 at Rwf95. On the Rwanda Security Exchange bond market, there was an outstanding offer of Rwf25 million worth of bonds at Rwf102.5.
