RWANDA men's Sitting Volleyball captain Emile Cadet Vuningabo believes that the country can only do better in future editions of the World ParaVolley Sitting Volleyball World Cup should his team improve their preparations before the tournament.

Rwanda finished ninth out of 13 teams that participated in men’s World Cup, hence an improvement of four places compared to the previous edition. They achieved the position following consecutive victories over France, Algeria, England and India in 9-13 classification matches.

Vuningabo commended his team for improving their performance with which he is optimistic the team can achieve more together.

"There was quite an improvement this year because of hard work. Now we have good foundation and we want to improve and become even much better. Our aim is to keep pushing to feature in the top eight teams at world level,” Vuningabo said.

"As a captain, I am very delighted that we have achieved this. It has been a team achievement and not personal success. It is absolutely fantastic for us. Of course, we want to reach at least in quarterfinals in the future, we can only be better,” he added

Meanwhile, Rwanda women dropped by one place to seventh after beating Egypt 3-0 during the 7-8 classification match.
