Editor,
As Indians all over the world celebrate Diwali, the festival of lights, please allow me to convey, through your esteemed newspaper, my best wishes and greetings to all my fellow Indians who have settled or are presently living in Rwanda.
It is of significance to note that this year President Obama has declared Diwali a public holiday in America to show appreciation for the tremendous contribution made by Indians to the US economy.
Rwanda is gradually developing as the preferred destination for Indian businesses based on the country’s focus on good governance and zero tolerance to corruption coupled with ease of doing business.
The fact that the recent Gallup International Report ranked Rwanda as the fourth safest country in the world after only Singapore, Hong Kong and Norway, makes it evident that "Remarkable Rwanda” will continue to attract traders, investors and tourists in the years ahead, thus enabling this great nation to achieve its Vision 2020 objectives well ahead of time.
