According to the daily market report for Monday, Bank of Kigali (BK) was the other active counter, and gained by a massive Rwf7 ito closed at Rwf280, from Rwf273 on Friday. The bank recorded a total turnover of Rwf56,000 from 200 shares traded in one deal.
The increase in share price of both counters boosted the Rwanda Share Index, which went up 2.25 points to close at 164.37 points, while the All Share Index moved up marginally by 0.28 points to close at 137.78 points, the report indicates. The other local firm listed on the bourse, Bralirwa, was quiet yesterday and closed at Rwf218. The beverages firm recorded a total turnover of Rwf654,000 during the previous last trading session.
KCB and all the cross-listed counters were quiet. KCB closed at Rwf330, Equity Bank, NMG, and Uchumi Supermarkets closed at Rwf 334, Rwf1,200 and Rwf104, respectively.
At the end of formal trading hours, there were outstanding offers of 227,300 Bank of Kigali shares at between Rwf280 and Rwf300, bidders were willing to pay between Rwf260 and Rwf265 for 28,600 shares.
On the Bralirwa counter, there were offers of 288,100 shares ranging from Rwf218-Rwf240 and no investors. Crystal Telecom had offers of 571,900 shares at Rwf105-Rwf114, but there were no buyers.
