All roads lead to Serena Hotel this Friday as 14 designers showcase their designs in a show that will see one girl emerge Rwanda’s next super model.

Julian Mutoni, who is in charge of the designers, says that the event will only showcase Rwandan designs.

"We are doing this mainly because we want to promote our designers, both locally and internationally. We want to make them popular, and help them sell their products,” she says.

Blanche Majoro, who is an advisor and instructor of the models, says that she believes that the girls are ready and that there will be no issues of bias when it comes to selecting the winner, since the judges will come from different countries.

The Founder and CEO of Kigali Fashion Week; John Bunyeshuli, says the event will be graced by veteran judges from South Africa, Canada, Uganda and Rwanda to give the show an international feel.

The overall winner will walk away with an assortment of prizes and endorsements from International companies that deal in beauty products.
