RE: "Gisagara motorcyclists urged to fight crime” (The New Times, October 24).

If motorcyclists can hold the mantle against crime, then you know things are getting much better. This is because some criminals hide behind this lucrative business to traffic or smuggle drugs and goods, or facilitate criminality through transporting wrongdoers, stolen goods or are the thieves themselves.

Their conduct on public roads is also questionable—bad riding and maneuvers, violating traffic signs like traffic lights and zebra crossing are contributing factors to road accidents.

With this kind of partnership, I believe much more good is in the offing if not already in place.
