Amagaju FC coach Abdul Bizimana has set his team a target of 40 points which he believes would help them to finish in top in the Azam Rwanda Premier League. 

Bizimana set the mark after a 2-0 away win over Musanze FC on Friday to jump into third position at least for 24 hours, on 11 points, level with leaders AS Kigali and second-placed Police FC, who were due to play against Sunrise FC on Saturday. AS Kigali face SC Kiyovu on Sunday at Mumena stadium.

Musanze opened the scoring through striker Peter Otema in the 57th minute before Saiba Claude Mumbele equalized in the 89th minute while Dieudonne Munezero scored a stoppage time winner for Bizimana’s team.

"I am delighted to win this match but we still have a lot of work to do to achieve our target of 40 points, which I think would take us in the top five at the end of the season,” Bizimana said.

He however, noted that, "We are lucky to collect all three points against Musanze, they are a very good team with an experienced coach (Barrack Hussein). Now we can turn our focus on the next game against Marines, which will be at home.” 

His counterpart Barrack Hussein acknowledged that, "We dominated the game but we conceded two goals because of our mistakes in defense, am disappointed we have not won or at least got a point, which is the least we deserved.” Musanze dropped into tenth position with 7 points.

Meanwhile, Rwamagana City came out on top 2-0 in the Eastern Province derby against Bugesera FC at Rwamagana ground. The win moved Francois Kalisa’s team to ninth spot with seven points, two points above Bugesera, who dropped to 13th with five points.
